Offered here is a rare complete run of Eight (8) consecutive serial-numbered $1 Depression Scrip notes issued by Atlantic County, New Jersey on April 12, 1933.

These pieces were printed during the Great Depression as emergency local currency to supplement cash shortages and help stabilize the county economy.

This is a very desirable matched-run set—far more scarce than individual notes.

Emergency tax-anticipation scrip issued by Atlantic County, NJ in 1933. Printed by E.A. Wright Bank Note Co., used locally in place of cash. Each note is a an AU or better grade and comes individual protected in a sleeve.
