1921 Germany Kolberg Ostsee Notgeld 75 Pfennig – Sea & Spa Town Emergency Money Note
$15.00
Description
Offered here is a charming 3-note Notgeld set from Soltau in der Lüneburger Heide (“Heidestadt” Soltau), issued just after World War I:
-
10 Pfennig – grey/black design with Iron Cross in laurel wreath, dated 1 Jan 1921
-
25 Pfennig – green/pink design with Iron Cross in red wreath, dated 1 Jun 1920
-
50 Pfennig “Kriegsnotgeld” – dark blue/cream silhouette of Soltau with rising sun and decorative floral border
All three notes date to the early 1920s emergency money period in Germany and feature bold Gothic lettering and classic Iron Cross motifs. Colors are still strong with light handling, minor corner wear and toning consistent with age. No rips or major damage seen.
Great starter trio for a Notgeld collection or as decorative historical paper money from the Weimar-era. Uncertified – please review photos to judge condition for yourself. Notes will ship in protective sleeves and a rigid mailer.
