1 oz .999 Pure Molybdenum - Walking Liberty American Eagle Rare Metal Bar
1 TROY OUNCE .999 Pure Molybdenum Metal Walking Liberty Eagle Bar This 1 Ounce Solid Pure Molybdenum Walking Liberty Eagle Bar is a rare commodity! Great for collecting, gifting, and especially as an investment piece! The price of Molybdenum has nearly doubled in the past 15 years. Molybdenum costs are also dependent on the purity of the metal. This bar is pure .999 Molybdenum metal. Molybdenum is a silvery-white ductile metal with the atomic number 42 and atomic symbol Mo. It has one of the highest melting points of any pure element. The metal is highly resistant to corrosion and is a micronutrient essential or all life. Molybdenum is a transition metal, which allows it to easily form compounds with other elements. Application Because of its high melting point, molybdenum is often produced and sold as a grey powder. Many molybdenum items are formed by compressing the powder at a very high pressure. It is used in steel alloys to increase hardness, electrical conductivity, resistance to corrosion and wear, and strength. ‘Moly steel’ alloys are used in parts of engines. Other alloys are used in drills, saw blades, and heating elements. Molybdenum powders are used in microwaves devices and circuit inks for circuit boards. The iron and steel industries account for more than 75% of molybdenum consumption. Although it is toxic in anything other than small quantities, molybdenum is an essential trace element for all life forms. Molybdenum-dependent enzymes are not only required for human health as well as the health of our ecosystem. Production The main molybdenum ore is molybdenite (molybdenum disulfide). Molybdenite is processed by roasting to form molybdenum oxide, and then reducing to the metal. Processing recovered ores occurs in five steps: Milling, floatation, roasting, ferromolybdenum smelting, and molybdenum metal production. It is often recovered a by-product of copper or tungsten mining. 1 TROY OUNCE OZ .999 Pure Molybdenum Metal Walking Liberty Eagle Bar Great for collecting, gifting, and especially as an investment piece! The price of Molybdenum has nearly doubled in the past 15 years. Molybdenum costs are also dependent on the purity of the metal. This bar is pure .999 Molybdenum metal.

Gold Recovery & Refining Kit | Complete Chemical Solution for Scrap Gold Salvage
Scrap Gold Recovery Kit - Sodium Metabisulfite, Urea Aqua Regia, & Stannous Chloride Refine gold from scrap materials with ease using this Scrap Gold Recovery Kit, specially designed for hobbyists and professionals alike. Kit Includes: 8 oz Sodium Metabisulfite 8 oz Urea Aqua Regia 1/2 oz Premixed Stannous Chloride 8 oz Gold Precipitant This comprehensive kit contains all the necessary chemicals to dissolve and recover gold in its purest form. Designed by JSP and proudly manufactured in the United States, the chemicals are measured in fluid ounces for easy use and application. Whether you're a seasoned refiner or new to gold recovery, this kit offers a straightforward solution for extracting gold from scrap materials. Perfect for refining jewelry, electronics, and other gold-containing items. Take your gold recovery projects to the next level with this essential kit! Instructions for Use: Basic Instructions for Aqua Regia Refining Process (For JSP #kit26, #kit26‐1, kit26‐2) Important Notes: You will need concentrated hydrochloric and nitric acids (or substitutes). These acids are very corrosive, and the fumes they produce are toxic. When combined with metals, the fumes become highly corrosive. Refining must ideally be done outdoors. If working indoors, ensure the use of an exhaust hood. Refining gold in acid is safe when done under controlled conditions with proper training and knowledge. Materials Needed: Pyrex beakers or heavy-gauge plastic buckets and a glass or plastic stirring rod Safety gear: goggles, rubber gloves, and a rubber apron Filtration equipment Hydrochloric or muriatic acid Nitric acid or nitric acid substitute Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) acid neutralizer Urea Stannous chloride solution A gold precipitant Tap water and distilled water Refining Instructions: 1. Prepare Your Gold:Melt the gold and create small shot granules (not necessary for filigree or ladies' rings). Pour the shot into Pyrex or plastic containers. Use a container with 300 mL capacity per ounce of scrap gold. For example, 10 ounces of gold requires a 3-liter (3-quart) container. 2. Mix the Aqua Regia Solution:For every ounce of gold to refine, combine: 30 mL Nitric Acid or 2–2.25 tablespoons nitric acid substitute 90 mL Hydrochloric Acid or 120 mL Muriatic Acid Example: For 10 ounces of gold, mix 300 mL nitric acid (or substitute) with 900 mL hydrochloric acid (or 1200 mL muriatic acid). 3. Dissolve the Gold: Add the nitric acid or substitute to the container with the gold. Wait briefly. Add the hydrochloric or muriatic acid. The solution will heat up as it reacts with the metal. Fumes may be produced (less likely with substitutes). Allow the acid to work for at least one hour after the fumes stop. 4. Filter the Solution:Pour the acid into a separate container through a filter funnel to remove particles. If particles are poured off, they may contaminate the gold. 5. Adjust the pH:Add a pinch of urea to the solution. If it fizzes, add more until the fizzing stops. 6. Precipitate the Gold: Add 1 tablespoon of JSP® Precipitant per ounce of dissolved gold. The acid will turn muddy brown as pure gold particles form. Wait 30 minutes, then test for dissolved gold using JSP® Stannous Chloride solution. If the solution turns purple-black or purple-brown, add more precipitant and give it more time. 7. Rinse the Gold:Once no gold is detected in the acid, pour it off carefully without disturbing the gold mud at the bottom. Rinse the gold mud 3–4 times with tap water, then with distilled water. 8. Dry and Melt the Gold: Dry the mud by placing the container on a hot plate (do not preheat the plate to avoid breaking the container). Once dry, wrap the gold powder in tissue paper, soak it in alcohol, and use a torch or crucible to melt the gold. If done correctly, this process yields gold with a purity of 99.95% and minimal loss.
